ATCHISON, Kan., October 27, 2015 – MGP, a leading producer of specialty wheat proteins and starches and premium distilled spirits, has announced the appointment of Bruce Gubser to the position of east central regional sales manager for ingredients. His background includes more than 20 years of sales management, food science and technical applications experience.

Since 2005, Gubser was employed with Herbstreith & Fox Inc., Elmsford, N.Y., as a regional technical sales manager, overseeing product application projects and performing an instrumental role in new product introductions.

From 1997 to 2005, Gubser was national technical sales manager for meat products at Degussa, in Atlanta, Ga. In this role, he had sole sales and technical responsibility for customers in the U.S., while also providing technical expertise to customers in the Canadian and Mexican markets. Before that, he served as an applications technician for Penford Food Ingredients in Denver, Colo., where he conducted research related to the use of starch in meat products and provided application and problem-solving assistance to customers.

Gubser is a graduate of Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, where he received a bachelor of science degree in food science with a concentration in meat processing in 1996.
