ATCHISON, Kan., June 6, 2011— Ashley Gill has joined MGP Ingredients, Inc. (MGPI) as communications specialist. Among her principal responsibilities will be assisting in the execution of overall publicity and promotional projects, including internal communications programs and marketing communications initiatives.
“We are very pleased to welcome Ashley to our corporate relations team,” said Shanae Randolph, corporate director of communications. “We have had the pleasure of having Ashley serve as an intern at the company over the last year and in that time she has demonstrated considerable talents and abilities in assisting the company in fulfilling its expansive communications efforts. Ashley will play a key role in the execution of our communications strategy for the company.”
While in her role as a business intern at MGPI, Gill worked closely with several departments, including supply chain, research and development, sales, human resources and corporate relations. She assisted with various marketing promotions, including the company’s recent launch of its new website. Gill also completed several writing, as well as design development assignments for both internal and external communications initiatives. Gill previously gained experience in professional communications by working in the marketing and communications office at Benedictine College, Atchison, from 2008 to 2010, where she composed news releases and completed other public relations projects while a student at the college.

Gill is a native of Atchison and a 2007 graduate of Atchison High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from Benedictine College, in May 2011, where she graduated cum laude.
